Hamed Abboud

Hamed Abboud, born in 1987 in Deir al-Zor in Syria, studied telecommunications technology in Aleppo. He spent his childhood in Algeria until his family had to return to Syria when the civil war broke out in 1992. When the peaceful uprising against the regime in his homeland was suppressed with military force, he fled to Egypt in 2012. Via Dubai and Turkey, he finally came to Austria in 2014, where he now lives in Vienna after two years in Burgenland. In German language, Hamed Abboud's latest publications include "Der Tod backt einen Geburtstagskuchen" (edition pudelundpinscher, 2017) and "In meinem Bart versteckte Geschichten" (Edition Korrespondenzen, 2020).
